《WITCHWATCH》Nico’s Voice Actress Rina Kawaguchi Holds Autograph Session at Comic Exhibition – Adorable Cheek-Heart Pose and Taiwanese Dialect Showoff! 《WITCH WATCH》 Brings Amusement Park-Level Fun, She loves classic magic!

Rina Kawaguchi, the voice actress behind the adorable witch character “Nico” in the popular comedy anime《WITCHWATCH》, held an autograph session at the 2025 Comic Exhibition on July 26! Around 200 enthusiastic fans gathered at the event, creating a lively atmosphere filled with laughter.

During the joint interview and event, Rina Kawaguchi shared many insights about voice acting in WITCH WATCH and her experience playing Nico. She expressed, “This series combines romance, action, and comedy—it’s just like an amusement park!”

Due to the fast-paced storyline and the large, energetic cast of characters, there was hardly any pause during the voice recording sessions. The tight pacing left a strong impression on her.

She explained, “The lines are often delivered back and forth without any breaks. While the script includes time codes and the order of dialogue, during the actual recording, you have to adjust based on the atmosphere in the studio. Otherwise, you won’t be able to keep up with the rhythm of the characters’ interactions.”

She even revealed that she couldn’t help but burst out laughing during the recording of the final scene in episode one!

When asked about her favorite scene, Rina Kawaguchi mentioned the date between Nico and Moi in episode 9: “The story is usually on the funnier side, but that episode had a genuinely romantic atmosphere. The two of them watched a movie and went to a summer festival together—it really gave off that heart-fluttering feeling.”

She also shared that Nico is like a child who gets jealous and pouts, saying, “Hey~ why aren’t you looking at me?”—which she finds incredibly cute.

As for her favorite magic, she answered without hesitation: “Flying on a broomstick feels the most witch-like to me—it’s the classic magic in my heart!”

Rina Kawaguchi also shared her impressions of Taiwan: “The food here is really delicious, and the scenery is beautiful!” She happily shared that she got to drink her favorite black tea, enjoy some xiaolongbao, and made wonderful memories during her visit.

At the event, Rina Kawaguchi performed live voice acting for three classic scenes from the anime, including the “Flip Flap Flat!” magic, the flying “Flat Nico,” and Nico in her extra-flirty and love-struck modes. Her vivid performance filled the venue with laughter and cheers.

The event itself was thoughtfully designed—fans were thrilled by the autograph and interaction segment, and each participant received a special “Voice Actor Event Set,” which included a Flat Nico plush and a beautifully crafted acrylic stand.

In a surprise bonus, the anime streaming platform Bahamut Anime Crazy (Bahamut Anime Zone) gave away 30-day premium viewing codes on-site, allowing fans to continue enjoying the series.
